Jean Barnes, our loving mother and grandmother, 93, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2010, at her home.
Jean was born August 20, 1917. in Danbury, Nebraska, to Gordon L. and Clara E. (Jones) Wingo. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Floyd E. Barnes, on April 5, 2001. S
he is survived by her two daughters, Norma J. Barnes, Shawnee, Kansas, and Linda L. Slone and husband, Don, Holden, Missouri; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Jean loved cats and would like memorial contributions to Animal Haven, 9800 W. 67th Street, Merriam, Kansas, 66203.
