Howard Eugene Gustafson

Howard E. Gustafson, 89, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2022 at the Olathe Hospice House, Olathe, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 1 at St. Pius X Catholic Church; burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at with a Rosary Recitation at 9: 45 a.m. at the church.

Howard was born April 1st, 1932 in Kansas City, KS to Arthur and Fay Gustafson. He was a 1950 graduate of St. Agnes High School. Howard married Margaret “Marge” Fromholtz at St. Agnes Church on December 2, 1950. He served his country as a corporal in the Army from 1952 to 1954. After leaving the service, Howard had a long career at Southwestern Bell. Howard and Marge enjoyed spending time with friends, hosting family for holidays and special occasions, and were always happy to meet you for breakfast.

Howard is preceded in death by his wife Marge and his sister Beverly. He is survived by his daughter Lisa (Michael) Sanders, Olathe, KS and his two sons, David (Kathleen) Gustafson, Kansas City, MO and Robert (Sue) Gustafson, San Marcos, CA. Howard was the proud grandfather of six (Kyle, Erin, Cristin, Leslie, Sara, and Staci) and three great-grandchildren (Lydia, Ramona, and Arlo).
