Howard Lee Campbell, 86, Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014.
Howard married Doris E. Rice of Cherokee, IA. They were married 48 years. Doris and Howard loved their family and were highly involved in their lives. Activities included swimming, 4-H, wood working, square dancing, scouting, sports, and more. Howard was a skilled craftsman and passed his skills on to many.
Howard served in the US Army/Corps of Engineers in Germany. He owned Quality Hat Works. He was a machinist with Allied Signal, retiring in 1993.
Survivors include his five children, Donna Kay, Jim (Janet), Ron (Margaret), Cindy and Kevin (Doris); ten grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Hillcrest Covenant Church, 8801 Nall Ave.; burial in the Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 4-8 pm, Wednesday at the church. Funeral services will be webcast at www.hillcrestcov.org, clink “Watch Live” link.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Hillcrest Covenant Church or the American Red Cross.
