Helen Hayes, 87, of Mission, Kansas, passed away January 28,, 2014.
She was born January 22, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri, to the late William and Rexie Ann Green. She was united in marriage to Leslie L. Hayes on July 19, 1945.
Helen was a proud member of the Merriam Christian Church, DAR Shawnee Mission Chapter, and the Merriam Homemakers.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years. Helen is survived by her three sons, William L. Hayes and wife Sharon, James L. Hayes and wife Cynthia, and Jeffrey L. Hayes and wife Jane; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother James Green and wife Lois; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service & Burial
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2014, at Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
