Glen J. Bilhimer, 96, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on April 17, 2016. He was born on November 18, 1919, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Harold and Lena (Lynn) Bilhimer.

Glen was a member of Overland Park Assembly of God for many years. He served his country in the US Navy in WWII and served as a Pharmacist's Mate 2nd Class. Glen later became a chiropractor and eventually worked for Sheet Metal Local #2 for over 50 years.

He was known as a quiet, gentle man who loved his family and served in many capacities, including ministering to prisoners at Leavenworth Penitentiary.

Glen is preceded in death by his wife, Lola (Weatherhead) Bilhimer, and son, Darrell Bilhimer. Glen is survived by his children, Gary Bilhimer of Belleville, Kansas, and Cheryl Farkas (Rob) of Olathe, Kansas; sister, Lois Bear (Bob); grandchildren, Greg Bilhimer (Farrelee), Mark Bilhimer (Allison), Todd Bilhimer, Mandy Farkas, and Mallory Pearson (Scott); and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016, at Amos Family Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
