Gerald "Jerry" Ziegler, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 28, 2025, in Shawnee, KS. Born on March 5, 1942, in San Diego, CA, Jerry lived a full and active life, reaching the age of 83.
Jerry dedicated his professional life to the printing industry, where he worked diligently for an impressive 60 years. His passion for his work was matched only by his love for sports and community involvement. He was an avid softball and racquetball player and enjoyed coaching his sons in soccer and baseball.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Chris, his mother, Jo, his older brother, Chris, his younger sister, Beverly, and his younger brother, Mike. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. He also leaves behind his oldest son, Josh, his youngest son, Adam, his daughter-in-law, Kelly, and his cherished grandsons, Augustus and Silas, all of whom will miss him dearly and treasure the memories they shared.
Services to honor Jerry's life will be held on Friday, June 6th, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee. The day will begin with a rosary at 9:30 am, followed by a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am. A funeral mass will commence at 11:00 am, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Jerry. His warmth, kindness, and dedication to his family and community will be remembered by all who knew him.
