George V. Kent, 94, of Mission, Kansas, passed away July 3, 2013.
He served in the US Army during WWII with the CBI Theatre. He was a 72 year member of Local 61 United Brotherhood of Carpenters, a proud member of the Overland Park Lodge No. 436, and a member of the VFW.
George is survived by his wife of 34 years Marilyn Kent; step-daughter Chris Carnelia (Mike); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be Saturday July 6, 2013, at Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th Street, Kansas City, Kansas, where George was a longtime member, Trustee, and Deacon. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Private family burial will be held in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Stony Point Christian Church or Crossroads Hospice.
