Florene Miele

Florene V. Miele, 93, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Sunday, December 18th, 2022 at the Crown Nursing Home in Harrisonville, Missouri.  She was born March 22nd, 1929 in Harrison, Arkansas and lived in Overland Park, Kansas the majority of her life.  On August 9th, 1969, Florene married Anthony R. Miele in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  From Florene’s prior marriage to Garrett Martin, they had three daughters, Shirley Smith, Linda Martin and Kathey Atkinson.

Florene was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony R. Miele; her first husband, Garrett Martin and daughter, Linda Martin.  She leaves behind two daughters, six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Overland Park Christian Church from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28th, 2022.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm.  Burial will take place at Leavenworth National Cemetery on December 29th, 2022 at 10:00 am.
