Florence Severns, 90, of Roeland Park, KS passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital of Kansas City. Florence was born on March 25, 1929 to Nellie Reynolds and Robert L. Beeson. As an assistant to faculty members and the Dean, Florence retired from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Law in 1992. She was preceded in death by her eldest son Michael Severns. She is survived by her daughter, Patrice Hammontree and sons, John Severns and Steven Severns; her grandchildren, Amber Wood, Brent Hammontree, Stacy Severns, Jacqueline Severns, and Kerri Severns; and three great grandchildren, Ava, Betty Gail and Declan.
A visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Friday, January 31st with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6:00 pm at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive in Shawnee.
