Eulalia "Lee" Will

Eulalia "Lee" Will, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 29, 2026, in Lenexa, Kansas. She was 101 years old. Born on February 4, 1925, in Red Bud, Illinois, Lee lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to her family, faith, and community.

Lee spent her professional career as a devoted nurse in the fields of pediatrics and psychology in St. Louis, Missouri. Her compassion and dedication touched the lives of many children and families throughout her career. Beyond her professional life, she had a profound zest for life's simple pleasures. Lee was an avid gardener, finding joy and solace among her plants, and was often found with a book in hand, savoring stories and expanding her world through reading.

A talented seamstress, Lee lovingly crafted clothing for her family, including the heartfelt transformation of her own wedding dress into her daughter Caroline's bridal gown. Her skills extended into the kitchen, where her delightful pies, made with blueberries and strawberries she picked herself, were legendary among her family and friends.

Faith played a significant role in Lee's life. She was a long-standing member of Webster Groves Christian Church in St. Louis, where she participated in a Women's Bible Study group for over thirty years—a group that continues to connect its members through the thoughtful gesture of sending handmade cards. Upon moving to Lenexa to be nearer to her family, she attended Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Lee cherished her family above all else, especially her grandchildren, Kyle and Nicole, with whom she shared countless hours of love, laughter, and board games, notably her favorite, Rummikub. She embraced the art of letter writing, opting for the personal touch of handwritten correspondence over modern technology, never owning a cell phone.

Preceding Lee in death are her first husband, Hillis N. Arnold; second husband, Earl Will; daughter, Kathy A. Smith; parents, Albert and Maria Guebert; brothers, Milton Guebert, Clarence Guebert; and sister, Elvera Guebert. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Becher, and her husband Steve; grandchildren, Nicole Becher and Kyle Becher; and dear nieces, Linda Reedy (Bob) and Patricia Liefer (Ronnie) and their family.

A private interment will be held at Memorial Garden WGCC in St. Louis, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, and in a testament to Lee's spirit of sharing and connection, she would have preferred you to bake or buy a pie and share it with someone dear, spreading the joy and togetherness she so valued throughout her life.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, the warmth and love she imparted continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her.
