Eugene "Gene" E. Mildfelt, 81, Merriam, Kansas, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011, at Trinity Nursing and Rehab.
Gene operated a barber shop in Prairie Village Kansas for 51 years, and was a member of the Kansas Barbers Association, and served 6 years in the National Guard. Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Gene was preceded in death by his wife Beverly in 1996. He is survived by a step-son Ron (Jonelle) Brown, Kansas City, Kansas; one sister, Ruth Steichen, Ponca City, Oklahoma; one brother Gerald (Sue) Mildfelt, Ft. Scott, Kansas; and one step-grandson David Brown.
Funeral Service
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas.
