Edward W. Bauer, 91, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away October 28, 2013.

Ed was born January 21, 1922, in Wea, Kansas, to Anthony and Mary (Gager) Bauer. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a 30 year employee with GM retiring in March of 1976. Ed enjoyed antique tractor pulls, farming and coon hunting.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Dorothy Schuster Bauer in 1984. Ed is survived by his son Tim Bauer, son Joe Bauer, and daughter Deb Bauer, five grandchildren; Matthew Bauer, Julie Bauer, Jennifer Bauer, Joe Hewer, and, Renate Hewer. He is also survived by one great-grandson, Thomas Joseph Curry.

Mass of Christian Burial

A visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday November 3, 2013, at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday November 4, 2013, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
