Eden Jean Angell, born September 25, 2023, the little warrior who earned her Angell wings in the early morning of April 8, 2026, after a one-year battle with aplastic anemia. She packed a lifetime of joy, fight, and love into just two and a half years of life, the fullest life.
Eden faced a medical battle that would have put most adults down. She endured a bone marrow transplant at the age of one. It gave her new life. Chemotherapy, five weeks inpatient, and a year’s worth of weekly doctor visits followed. Even then, she would say, “I get poke,” just so she could see her nurse Julie.
Eden never once lost her spirit. Never a bad day. Nothing could bring little Beebens down. She had a love for life and a special love for hot dogs, Bluey, and her best friend, her sister Karmyn.
The family would like to thank everyone on the Children’s Mercy team who gave Eden the opportunity to live life to the fullest.
She is survived by her father, Mike Angell; her mother, Autymn Ganz; her sister and best friend, Karmyn; her brother Eli; GG; Kelly; Nana & Papa Jenkins; and a family of “team members” who fought alongside her every step of the way. She was preceded in heaven by her Great-Grandpa and Papa Mike.
We find peace knowing she is no longer fighting for breath, but spreading her wings. We’ll make sure to bring you a hot dog when we see you again. Philippians 2:15“…then you will shine among them like stars in the sky.” Eden’s light shined bright here and it will shine forever.
Rest easy baby girl.
