Doris M. Wells, 85, of Merriam, Kansas, passed on Monday, April 19, 2010, at Trinity Nursing Center.
Doris was born January 9, 1925, to the late William and Emma Boss in Kansas City, Missouri. Doris graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School. Doris married Ivan Wells September 25, 1949, at the Merriam Bible Church.
Doris was affectionately known as the "Mom of Mackey Street". She was an active member of the Merriam Christian Church, and was involved with CWF at the church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ivan; daughter, Nancy McCoy and husband Wes; son Gary and wife Teri Wells; brother Edward Boss and wife Mary; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Merriam Christian Church, 9401 Johnson Drive, Merriam, Kansas 66203.
Visitation and Funeral Service
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Services will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
