Donald C. Satterfield, 82, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away February 13, 2014

Donald was born May 1, 1931, in Van Meter, Iowa, to Clyde R. and Geneva Satterfield. He was the second of four children. He married Wanda M. Russell on February 9, 1952. The majority of his life was spent working for McCall's Service Station in the Greater Kansas City area.

Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; and both of his parents. He is survived by son, Don W. (Marlene); daughter, Deborah Close; grandchildren, Russell; step-grandchildren, Dianne Gant, Jessica Schroeder, Matthew Schroeder and Mollie Schroeder; great grandchildren, Tristyn and Celeste Satterfield, Holden Gant, Haylie Jo Schroeder and Hunter Dauer; and siblings, Maxine, Shirley and Michael.

Celebration of Life

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2014, at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens in Shawnee, Kansas.
