Don Merrill Harris

Don Merrill Harris, 81, of Overland Park, KS died August 16, 2023 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Don was born on July 20, 1942 to Lonnie and Mary Lou (Campbell) Harris in Dyersburg, TN and the eldest of their four children. Don, a proud Veteran, served in the US Army from 1959-1962 as a cryptographer in the US Army Signal Corps. Don eventually went to work for Ford Motor Company where he worked as a foreman in the parts distribution plant and retired after 32 years in 2002. Don was known solely as Papa to his daughter and grandchildren, it was a title he took very seriously and made it his life's work to spoil them all as much as possible.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Mary Lou, sister Patricia Cowles, brother Jerry Harris, and sister Judy Evans as well as many other dear family and friends.

Survivors include daughter Tennysha (Tish) Seutter and her husband SSG Brandon Seutter and two grandchildren Zoe and Carter Seutter, as well as two step children Jeff and Tracey and Ex Wife Karen Harris.

There will not be a service as Don did not wish to have one.
