Diana Kay Vaught gained her angel wings on August 1, 2023 at her daughter's home in Shawnee, KS.
Diana's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
Diana was compassionate and adventurous in all aspects of her life. She was the person many would turn to. Diana was a wonderful seamstress, a collector of all things, and someone that many categorized.
Her life was lived selflessly. Diana put her two daughters, Diana Michelle Sheridan and Tracy Lynn Fouts, above all else. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Not a day went by where Diana didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life and she took every chance she had to tell her loved ones that she was blessed with family.
Diana is survived by her loving husband and best friend Norman K. Curl, Daughters Diana Sheridan and Tracy Fouts, son-in-law Brian Fouts, her grandchildren Norman Sheridan, Chance Fouts, Tyler Sheridan, Aaron Fouts, and Rylee Fouts, great-grandchildren Kaysen Fouts, Tanner Sheridan, Lucis Fouts, Karter Sheridan, Kylee Jo Sheridan, and Bonnie Fouts, brothers Thomas Vaught and Gary Vaught, and countless friends.
A visitation will be held at The Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS 66203, from 1-2 pm on Saturday, August 5th, 2023. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
Memorial donations in Diana’s name may be made to Head for the Cure Foundation, 1607 Oak St, Kansas City, MO 64108.
