Dennis J. Korzeniewski

Dennis James Korzeniewski, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away in his sleep Easter Sunday. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Dennis was born August 9, 1948. His parents were Vincent and Mary (Kaczmarczyk) Korzeniewski.

After earning a BA in Mechanical Engineering, Dennis worked for UPS for 35 years, first in Greenwich, Connecticut then Atlanta, Georgia, before ending his career in Lenexa, Kansas. He recently spent his time volunteering at the Catholic Charities.

He is survived by his wife, fellow Brooklynite Maryann (Dubitsky); two sons, Andrew Korzeniewski and Mollie Murray of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Brian and Patty (Duggan) Korzeniewski of Olathe, Kansas; and a grandson Alexander of Olathe.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Amos Family Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 6 pm. Mass will be held 10:30 am, Thursday, April 4, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee, Kansas. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kansas.
