David Wayne Buckallew, age 64, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Columbia, Missouri. Born on November 27, 1959, David lived a life filled with hard work and cherished moments with his loved ones.
David dedicated his career to serving others, having worked at the United Cities Gas Company and as a proud member of Operating Engineers Union Local 124. His interests were diverse, ranging from hunting and fishing to spending time at race tracks and riding his beloved Harley Davidson. He found immense joy in taking naps with his precious grandbabies and being a part of Clint Boyer's pit crew.
David will be dearly missed by his three children: David M. Buckallew, Deborah (Tim Vestal) Buckallew, and Jessie (Sonya Swercenski) Buckallew; his mother Ethel Buckallew; his brother Larry (Stacy) Buckallew; his sister Diane Bryant; his seven grandchildren; two great granddaughters and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Earl Buckallew.
Services to honor and remember David will be held at Calvary Chapel, 2614 S. 18th Street, Kansas City, KS 66106. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, June 29, from 1-2 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm. Cremation will take place thereafter.
David Wayne Buckallew will be fondly remembered for his warm heart, strong work ethic, and love for his family. May he rest in peace.
