Darrell Keith Jones

Darrell Keith Jones was born July 18, 1972 to the late Alfred Lee Jones and Ozella Bradley Jones in Little Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at Advent Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.

Darrell graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park, Kansas. He continued his higher education at KU and Johnson County Community College ultimately receiving his Bachelors of Science in Management from Baker University in 2001. He received a certificate for 20 years of dedicated service in retail at QuikTrip as an Assistant Manager.

Darrell was baptized at an early age at St. Peter’s Rock Baptist Church in Little Rock Arkansas. After his family relocated to Overland Park, KS in 1984, he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Merriam Kansas where he was active in Sunday School, President of the Sanctuary Choir, President of the Male Chorus and an active member of the Laymen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Lee Jones; his grandparents James Jones Jr., Emer Mae Jones, J.B. Bradley, Lucille Manual Bradley – December 1949, and Lillie M. Bradley – November 2008; his great-grandparents James and Mother Dilsie Webb Bradley; his cousin Tracy Bradley.

He is survived by his mother Ozella Jones; his brother Vincent (Monakisha); three nieces Kayla, Keira and Briana; god-niece Dani Bell; god-nephew Thad Redding; and his various aunts, uncles and cousins.

We the family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the staff at Advent Hospital in Overland Park, KS. Thankful to those that traveled, prepared meals, sent flowers or offered a helping hand in so many meaningful ways. A special thank you to the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the Amos Family Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Darrell will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 8300 Quivira Rd. Lenexa, KS 66215.
