Connie Sue Nord

Connie Sue Nord, born on May 19, 1942, in Jefferson County, Iowa, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026, in Overland Park, Kansas, just four days shy of her 84th birthday.

Connie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who dedicated her life to serving her faith and her beloved church community. As a pastor's wife, she supported her husband, David Leroy Nord, in his ministry and enriched the lives of those around her through her kindness and compassion.

Her life was filled with simple joys and hobbies that brought happiness to her and those she loved. She cherished the time spent reading, doing puzzles and sudoku, as well as playing games with friends and family. An accomplished cook, Connie found joy in preparing meals, which she often shared with her church family, whom she served wholeheartedly.

Connie's unwavering devotion to her faith was evident throughout her life. She was remembered by those who knew her for her warm smile and generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Paul and Florence Pederson. Connie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her beloved husband, David Leroy Nord; her brother, Danny Pederson; her son, David Todd Nord, and his wife, Kristie Nord; her grandson, Devin John Waterman, and two cherished great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, along with extended family and countless friends and church family.

A celebration of Connie's life will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Overland Park Assembly of God in Overland Park, Kansas at 7700 W 75th St. Visitation will begin at 11 AM, followed by services at 1 PM. A graveside service will follow, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
