Claudia Allene Zipp

Claudia Allene Zipp, born November 2, 1954, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas, at the age of 71. She was a lifelong resident of Shawnee, Kansas. 

Claudia dedicated much of her professional life to Bayvet and related entities within the Bayer Animal Health business line, where her commitment and work ethic were deeply valued. Beyond her career, she had a passion for genealogy, delighting in tracing her family roots and history. A devoted cat lover, Claudia cherished the companionship of three cats over the span of twenty years, finding joy in their presence throughout her life. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Claude A. Zipp and Shirley K. Zipp (Black). Claudia is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Scott A. Zipp, Dana K. Zipp, and Barry A. Zipp, along with many other family members and friends who held her dear. 

Family, friends, and all who knew Claudia are invited to attend the visitation at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, Kansas, on Wednesday, November 4th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service. A graveside service will take place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Shawnee on Thursday, November 5th, at 2:00 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Great Plains SPCA Pet Adoption in Merriam, Kansas (gpspca.org), in honor of Claudia’s love for animals. 

Claudia Allene Zipp will be remembered for her gentle spirit, mischievous sense of humor, and the warmth she brought to the lives of those around her. May she rest in peace.
