Clara L. Smith, 97, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015. Clara was born in Altus, AR on July 14, 1918. She met her husband, Robert L. Smith in Ft. Smith Arkansas and they were married on November 12, 1944. Soon thereafter, they moved to Kansas City to raise their family. Clara graduated with a degree in business and worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 20 years. She was an active church and Altar Society member, as her faith guided the way she lived her life. Clara is survived by her children, Robert Smith of Shawnee, KS and JoAnn Werner (Smith) of Shawnee, KS. She also leaves four grandchildren, Kristin, Rebecca, Jay and Nicole and 3 great - grandchildren, Elaine, Hunter and Josiah, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Elaine.

Service

The funeral and visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lenexa, KS. Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Resurrection at 10:30 a.m.
