Charles "Fulton" Huddleston

Fulton was born October 22, 1935 to Charlie Huddleston and Lillian Rogers Huddleston in Ripley, Mississippi. Fulton was raised on a farm and learned hard work at an early age. He was the second of nine children. Fulton graduate from Palmer High School in 1954, he moved to Memphis where he worked for Blue Goose uniform factory. Later that year he went to work for B.F. Goodrich Tire Company where he worked for 31 years. During his time at B.F. Goodrich, he was drafted into the Army, July of 1958 and discharged September of 1958 due to too many enlistments. Then he and his family transferred to Kansas City in 1964, then to Omaha, Nebraska in 1968, then back to Kansas City in 1972. B.F. Goodrich closed their plant in Kansas City in 1986. Fulton then went to work for various trucking companies, retiring from Callahan Trucking Company in 2015 when his hearing declined.

Fulton is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Martha; two sons, Ken Huddleston (Letha) of Norman, OK and Gary Huddleston (Sharon) of Pomona, KS; one sister, Judy; three brothers, Billy Joe, Danny, and Ronnie. As well as four grandchildren, David, Amy, CJ, and Kaylee; eleven great grandchildren; Elijah, Seven, Walker, Trey, Laylah, Lillie, Lincoln, Dixie, Alexus, Elizabeth, Alex and a host of nieces and nephews.

Fulton was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Larry; four brothers, Connie, Wade, Guy, Don; one niece, Sandra Spoonemore; two nephews, Rickie and Tyler Huddleston. Fulton loved gardening, watching TV, the KC Royals, KS Chiefs, and Baylor football.

Fulton made Jesus the Lord of his life in 1960, attending church regularly, and was an ordained Deacon at Westhaven Baptist in Memphis. Fulton also served as an active Deacon at churches here in Kansas. Fulton was a faithful member of Lenexa Baptist Church and a Faithful Follower of Jesus.

Fulton will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family. We will see him again at the great reunion day.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am -12:00 pm, Saturday, November 15, 2025 with a Funeral Service starting at 12:00 pm both at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203; burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W 87th St Pkwy, Lenexa, KS 66219.
