Charles E. Flinn, 82, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away November 2, 2010.
Chuck was born April 10, 1928 in Shawnee, Kansas, to Frank and Ella May (Blakely) Flinn.
Chuck worked for more than 50 years in construction, retiring from Consolidated Construction. He served in the US Army during the Korean War where he was awarded his two purple hearts.
Chuck enjoyed his family, gardening and was an accomplished bowler. He was a proud member of the Community of Christ Church and served in the Priesthood.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eileen Smith, Frances Simpson, and Wanda Huddleston, and brother Conrad Flinn.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Edie Flinn; daughters, Christine Bolton (Bret), Kathy Sawyer (Charlie), and Charlotte Meyers (Mike); six grandchildren and 2 great-grandsons.

Visitation and Funeral Service
A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2010, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. A funeral service will be held 10 am, Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Community of Christ, 15520 S. Ridgeview, Olathe, Kansas. Burial will follow in Monticello Union Cemetery, Shawnee, Kansas
