Cedric "Ced" Lamont Williams, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully from natural causes on September 1, 2025, in Kansas City at the age of 51. Born on June 28, 1974, in Portales, New Mexico, Cedric lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication.

Ced's journey through life was marked by his passion for railroading, inspired by his father, a career he cherished throughout his time working with Amtrak. His enthusiasm for trains was matched only by his love for walking trails with his wife, where he often found solace and inspiration. Recently, he embraced a new challenge in learning how to golf with his wife Yolanda and his daughter Alyssa, proving that he was always eager to explore new interests and grow.

At the heart of Ced's life was his unwavering commitment to his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Yolanda Williams, and a proud father to his children: Alexis and Zechariah, Alyssa Otero, Leanna Williams, Lilyana Otero, Keavion Williams, and Shadai Williams. Ced's legacy lives on in his grandchildren—Kiyla, Adonis, Apollo, and Julius—who brought immense joy to his life.

Ced is also survived by his loving parents, Wanda and Ricardo Walker, and his sisters, Lacretia Wiseman and Tiffany Walker. He was a cherished son-in-law to Fred Roybal and Carla Vigil, and a dear brother-in-law to Felicia Martinez, Jonathan Roybal, Belinda Roybal, and Gabriel Roybal. His nephews, Jalin and Jordan Wiseman, and his niece, Jaslyn Wiseman, held a special place in his heart. Ced's best friend, Jarrette Wilson, whom he regarded as a brother, was a constant source of friendship and support.

Ced's memory will be treasured by all who knew him, including extended family and friends who admired his warmth, kindness, and infectious smile.

Funeral services to celebrate Ced's life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas, 66203. Ced's family invites all who loved him to join in honoring his remarkable life and legacy.
