Brody J. Schleuger

Brody Jackson Schleuger, age 17, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday July 8, 2026 in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on August 20, 2008 to Sarah Overbaugh and Todd Schleuger, and from a young age, Brody always demonstrated an adventurous spirit and a big heart.Brody was a student at Staley High School and enjoyed activities similar to others his age including playing basketball, spending countless hours with his many friends, and hanging out with his beloved dog Milo. He had a hard-working mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit that he channeled into creative ways to fund his hobbies.

Brody is survived by his loving parents and his devoted grandparents, Emma Bennett, Robert Overbaugh, and {Bob} Schleuger. He leaves behind his caring aunt and uncle, Sarah and Mathew Overbaugh, along with his four adoring cousins Madeline, Eliza, Elizabeth, and Matilda.His time on this earth wasn’t nearly long enough, and Brody’s impact will be felt by all who knew him. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday July 12 from 4-6pm at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive Shawnee, KS. A graveside burial service will be at 11am on Monday July 13 at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 801 NW 108th St Kansas City, MO.
