Betty L. Shireman

Betty Shireman, 78, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away July 18, 2013. S

he was born December 29, 1934, in Flat River, Missouri. Betty was a resident of the Raymore/Peculiar, Missouri, area for more than thirty years and was employed by the Grandview Price Chopper Grocery Store for fifteen years.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jeff and Artie Shireman and a half-sister, Glenda Brooks. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Mike) Vega of Olathe, Kansas, Robert Bockenkamp of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Laurisa Romay of High Ridge, Missouri; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister Linda Osgood, of Raymore, Missouri; a niece and two nephews. Betty also leaves behind one half-brother, Danny Brooks of Springfield, Missouri; four half-sisters: Brenda Sutton and Marlene Folsom both of Stover, Missouri, Rhonda Brooks of Farmville, Virginia, and June Simmons of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and many nieces' and nephews.

You will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 22, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. A Visitation will be before the Mass from 10:00am - 11:00am and burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
