Betty A. Andre

Betty A. Andre, 83, Shawnee, Kansas, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa.

Betty was very involved with Special Olympics of Kansas, a longtime member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, an avid bowler and gardener.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years Richard, and a brother William Tyner. She is survived by a daughter Tammie Andre, Shawnee, Kansas; son John Andre, Lenexa, Kansas; one sister Jan Dusenberry, Des Moines, Iowa; granddaughter Ashley Andre; and great granddaughter Gabrielle Andre-Macan.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics Kansas , 5280 Foxridge Drive, Mission, Kansas 66202 or American Heart Association, 6800 W. 93 Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 6422 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, Kansas 66202. Cremation will follow the service.
