Bettina Louise "Tina" (Owens) Evans, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin, clasmate, and friend passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, in Kansas City, MO, at the age of 83. Born on November 16, 1942, in Muskogee, OK, Tina was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Tina dedicated her professional life to serving others, working as an administrative assistant at Northwest Mutual Life and later as a licensed insurance agent. Her commitment to her profession was matched only by her dedication to her family and community.

A woman of many interests, Tina found joy in her family, Countryside Christian Church, chancel choir, playing the organ and piano, musicals, gardening, sewing, sponsoring girl scouts, embarrassing parlor games, and cheering for her beloved OU Sooners. She was also a proud member of the Kansas City Athenaeum, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to various community initiatives. Tina's vibrant spirit and generous heart touched everyone she met.

Tina was the devoted wife of the late Charles Cameron Evans, with whom she shared many years of love, travel, and companionship. Together, they raised two children, Cynthia Louise Evans, who survives her, along with her partner Justin Antonio Martinez, and Owen Cameron Evans, who survives her along with his wife Sandra (Darrah) Evans.

She was a loving grandmother to Rachel (Evans) Clark and her husband Garrett Clark, James Evans and his wife Shelby (Manford) Evans, and Luke Evans and his wife Eryn (Coates) Evans. Her great-grandchildren, Lucy Clark, Elanor Clark, Judah Evans, and Lily Evans, brought immense joy to her later years.

Tina is preceded in death by her father, Charles Bailey Owens, her mother, Violet Louise (Turnbo) Owens/Williamson, her husband, Charles Cameron Evans, and her brother, Charles Wesley Owens.
