Barbara Jean Tippery

Barbara was a retired Hospital Emergency Admissions Clerk, who worked at Omaha Bergan-Mercy Hospital for 30 years.  She began her career at a hospital in California prior to moving to Omaha.  Barb, as her friends and family called her, was also a tireless homemaker.  She enjoyed singing in her church choir, caring for animals of all kinds, painting, writing poetry and above all else, spending time with friends and family.  Barb had volunteered for many years, at Omaha's Siena Francis House and serving food to the less fortunate at various community food kitchens.

Barb was preceded in death by both parents, Vernon and Lillian Garrison, and husband Jim Tippery.

Survived by brother Ray (Barbara); sisters Judith (Gene) and Vicki (Allan); son Brian "Bob" (Michelle); daughters Laura (Mike) and Teresa; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
