Andrew "Andy" Brian Coffelt, a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, in Kansas City, Missouri. Born on December 7, 1960, in Maryville, Missouri, Andy was 64 years old at the time of his passing.
He pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics from the University of Missouri, which set the foundation for his career as a Loan Officer. Throughout his professional life, he was known for his dedication, integrity, and genuine care for his clients.
Outside of work, Andy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His favorite pastime was fishing, specifically bass fishing. He also had a knack for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces that friends and family will treasure for years to come. He had a deep love for music, using songs to wake his sons in the morning and playing the guitar to entertain. In addition, Andy was a lifelong fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and Missouri Tigers.
Andy is preceded in death by his father, Willard Coffelt. He leaves behind a loving family who will continue to hold his memory close in their hearts. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Coffelt; his brothers, David Coffelt, Darrel Coffelt, and Bob Coffelt; his sisters, Beverly Wallace, Bonnie Weber, Barbara Schieber, Beth Hageman, and Becky Vasbinder. He is also survived by his sons and their spouse, Nathan and Beth Coffelt, AJ and Paige Coffelt, Michael and Natalia Coffelt, and Zac Coffelt and Jia Wang, and his granddaughter, Lenora Coffelt, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at noon on September 13, 2025, at Amos Family Funeral Home, located at 10901 Johnson Dr, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the lives of many.
Andy will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the stories, laughter, and memories shared by those who were fortunate to know him.
