It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Andrew Bashiru Ayoade, who departed this world on October 10, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 2, 1958, in Lagos, Nigeria, Andrew's journey was one of passion, dedication, and love.
Andrew was a remarkable individual whose legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him. As an accomplished aviation engineer, he soared to great heights in his career, leaving an indelible mark on the industry he loved so dearly. His commitment to excellence was evident not only in his professional endeavors but also in his personal pursuits.
A man of many talents and interests, Andrew was a proud father and grandfather who cherished spending time with his family above all else. He found joy in learning new skills and continually sought to enrich his life and the lives of those around him. His love for soccer was unmatched, though he also became a fervent supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs. In his leisure, Andrew delighted in baking cakes, a testament to his creative spirit and meticulous nature.
Andrew took immense pride in his appearance and home, values he imparted to his children with great care. He relished working on cars and piloting planes, passions that mirrored his adventurous and meticulous nature. His achievements were many, including obtaining a pilot's license and running a family clothing business, but he was most proud of being a loving father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alhaji M. A. Ayoade and Belau Aduke Ayoade, as well as his sister, Risikatu Ayoade. He is survived by his cherished children, Akeem Ayoade, Andrew Sallee Ayoade, Whitney Ayoade, and daughter-in-law Carleigh Ayoade. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren, Bri’el, Oliver, Theo, and Tayden Ayoade. He is also survived by his siblings, Fatai A. Ayoade, Shamsideen A. Ayoade, Shakiratu A. Ayoade, and Adekunle T. Moshe Ayoade.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Andrew's life at a visitation held at The Amos Family Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 AM at Lenexa Cemetery.
Though Andrew Bashiru Ayoade has left this earthly plane, his spirit, wisdom, and love will forever guide those he leaves behind. His life was a testament to resilience, ambition, and the boundless power of love.
