Amber D. White

October 6, 1946 — October 12, 2025

Overland Park

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our sweet mother, Amber Diane Clendenen-White, who departed this life on October 12, 2025, at the age of 79.

Amber was a quiet presence in the lives of those who knew and loved her. She didn’t seek the spotlight — she simply lived her life with grace and was a gentle soul whose kindness touched everyone who had the privilege to know her. Her smile could brighten the darkest day, and her humor knew no bounds.

Born on October 6, 1946, in Iola, Kansas, she dedicated her life to her family and home. She found comfort in the simple things: a good mystery book, time spent with her loving husband, Ron, and quiet moments with those she loved. Her calm spirit and thoughtful nature were gifts to everyone around her.

She is survived by twin daughters, Angela Blackwell and Susan Campbell (Lance Turner), five grandchildren Cody Campbell (Kellie Campbell), Jonathan Blackwell, Addison Campbell, Danielle Campbell (Jacob Breech), Jayce Smith, sisters Judy Fink (Nelson Fink) and Joanne Haen, brother Doug Clendenen (Graceann), numerous nieces, nephews and 12 grand fur babies, who will forever carry her love in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents Wesley and Virginia Clendenen and loving husband Ron White.

A visitation will be held on November 5, 2025, from 11:00am-1:00pm at Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS, in keeping with her quiet and humble spirit. The family welcomes stories and kind thoughts as they remember the beautiful life she lived. A private graveside gathering will be held after the visitation for immediate family.

Though she spoke little, her love spoke volumes. Her presence may now be still, but the peace she brought to the world will never fade.
