Alyssa Mary Whitaker

Alyssa Mary Whitaker was born January 11, 1992, to Helen Kaye Foley-Whitaker of Shawnee, Kansas, and Todd Jay Whitaker of Plattsburg, Missouri. On October 9, 2012 she entered Heaven.

She was a 2010 graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and was scheduled to graduate from Heritage College on October 12, 2012, with a degree in Aesthetics. She worked at Sephora and Now & Then.

Alyssa will be remembered for her sweet disposition and warm smile. She was passionate about family, friends, music, fashion and sandy beaches. She had a genuine ability to love unconditionally.

Alyssa was preceded in death by her grandfathers John Foley and Michael Baier, and grandmother Meredith Whitaker. Alyssa is survived by her dog Ziggy; her parents; sister Hailey; brother Kyle (Becky); grandmother Mary Ruth Baier; grandfather Jack Whitaker; father's fiancé Lori Allen; boyfriend Lorenzo Sauceda; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

We will miss our beautiful "Sis".

Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Mass with Christian burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas; burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Lenexa, Kansas.
