Alexander James Fleming, 79, passed away on August 6, 2016.

He grew up in the Kansas City area, attended De LaSalle Military Academy, worked in the grocery business, joined the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a 50 year member of the IBEW Local 124. Alex married Catherine Poje April 8, 1961.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine; children James Fleming, Ann Dervin (Dan), Sharon Ebberts (Kevin), Peggy Keens (Kevin), John Fleming (Heather), Ben Fleming (Jennifer), a brother, Stanley Fleming and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation and Services

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee. Mass immediately following at 11 a.m. at the church.
