Alexa Alise Savka, 37, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on October 23, 2026, just two days shy of her 38th birthday. Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Alexa grew up in Carroll County, Iowa, before making Kansas City her home as an adult.

Known for her quick wit, generous heart, and natural ability to connect with people, Alexa formed meaningful friendships wherever she went. She was intelligent, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate, always willing to offer kindness and encouragement to others.
Above all, Alexa’s greatest pride and joy were her four children, Olivia, Clark, Vivian, and Greer. She loved them fiercely, celebrated their every achievement, and never missed an opportunity to share how proud she was of each of them.
Alexa is survived by her beloved children, Olivia, Clark, Vivian, and Greer; her longtime partner of nearly ten years, Tim Ryan; her mother and stepfather, Tricia and Scott Ridgway; her father and stepmother, Brad and Tracy Cowden; her siblings, Dailen Cowden, Devan Grilli (Gabe), Dominic Spencer, Dillon Cowden, Jaelie Cowden, Makenna Hardin (Chase), and Jocelyn Merritt (Grant), Estella Cowden; seven nieces and nephews; her grandparents, Elizabeth (Lori) Barton (Dan Bowman), Chuck Cowden, and Josie Cowden; along with numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Savka.
Alexa’s faith in Jesus was an important part of her life. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and remembered for the love she so freely gave to others.
