Michael Turner

Michael Robert Turner, 69, of Shawnee, Kansas, passed away on November 25, 2013.

Michael was born on September 20, 1944, to Milo R. Turner and Mildred M. Donaldson Turner in Ft. Benning, Georgia. He grew up in Independence, Missouri, and graduated from NE HS in 1963. He served in the National Guard. He co-owned Pitcher Sales & Service and ended his career working for KO Manufacturing.

In his free, he enjoyed square and round dancing with the Amigo Square Dance Club. He was a member of the Church of the Resurrection and worked part-time at Cosentino's Price Chopper in Shawnee.

Michael is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamela; dogs, Kate & Pippa; sister-in-law, Cindy (Max) Barta; nephews, Ryan and Erich Barta; several cousins; and a host of friends.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 11:00am. Saturday, December 7th at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, KS. A visitation will precede the celebration from 10-11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Association or the American Heart Association.
