Maryann will sure be missed by the ladies that sat at her table at bingo! She loved playing cards before bingo, and had her own quarter holder for all of us to put our quarters in for a table Bingo she loved playing too! We will miss her laugh, and her kindness for all! My folks even played bingo with her many years ago! Maryann was a wonderful person inside and out! So glad I was able to share her bingo days with her! Sincerely, Connie Lehnen

  3. Sharon Cornell & Charlie Potter Says:

Maryann and I became friends when I returned to KC in 2005 and we met playing Bingo at the American Legion on 75th St. I attended alone, as my husband and daughter had not moved back to KC yet, and Maryann was so kind and gracious and invited me to sit with her. She has remained a constant and loving friend and Charlie (my significant other) and I will miss her dearly. Going to Bingo just won’t be the same anymore . . . . we always looked for her and her warm smile. She was a fighter and we were always amazed at how she would bounce back after any medical issues. Please know we loved your Mom and Grandma, and our hearts ache for all of you. Keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Perhaps one day we’ll see Diane or Carol at Bingo!

Mrs. Chandlee was one of the nicest ladies I’d ever met. Very modest and the sweetest personality. I always enjoyed sneaking in on her and Mrs. Dowell in the kitchen at the high school. I wish I had been able to stay in touch…life seems to happen. I will look forward to seeing her again one day.
