Laura Anne Grace

 

Laura Grace, loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece and friend, passed into God’s arms on Sunday, March 10th, 2019.

Even as a child, Laura’s sensitive, caring nature and unique sense of humor, won her many close friends. Her loyalty and devotion to her family and friends was absolute. 
 
Laura attended school in the Shawnee Mission, Belleville, and San Diego school districts. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas, working in hospitals in Lawrence and Beloit along the way. She worked in the commercial real estate lending industry for a number of years. She earned an MBA from Baker University, then worked as an accountant at State Street Bank. Laura later earned her Missouri and Kansas Real Estate Broker Licenses and was a Realtor at the time of her passing. 
 
Laura loved animals and taking outdoor trips with family to places like Grand Teton and Zion National Parks and Washington D.C. She was a faithful friend and an astute listener, who could recognize the humor in almost any situation. 
 
She is survived by her Mother, Carol Grace of Lees Summitt, MO, Father, Brian Grace of Lincoln, KS, Sister, Melissa Hughes of San Diego, CA, Sister, Dawn Meyers of Sturgis, SD, Grandmother, Betty Schilling of Hesperia, CA, Aunt, Judy Alexander of Hesperia, CA, Uncle, Mike Schilling of Hobe Sound, FL and many other loving family members and friends. 
 
Laura loved without limits, and to all who experienced that love, she will be missed and remembered always. 

Services

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 15 at 10:00 am at Amos Family Funeral Home, Shawnee, KS and on Saturday, March 16 at 2:00 pm at Denmark Lutheran Church, Denmark, KS.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Laura Grace Memorial Fund, checks payable to: Brian Grace, C/O Citizens State Bank & Trust Co ., Lincoln, Kansas.

    So very sorry for your lost. Laura was my friend at Highlands Elementary and I have fond memories of us riding our bikes to the little grocery store on mission road to buy peach chappelle. I also remember her sleep over birthday where we watched a very scary movie – I thought she must be the coolest kid in the world to like that movie! We lost touch after she moved, but I’ve always remembered the fun we had as kids.
