Klaus Dieter Fite


Klaus Dieter Fite, 67, of Merriam, KS passed away Friday, August 2, 2019. Klaus was born on March 24, 1952 to Johanna (Buchel) Fite and Tilo Frenzel in Karlsruhe, Germany. Klaus proudly served as a radio operator in the US Army during the Vietnam War and then retired from the United States Postal Service as a City Letter Carrier.  He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Yumiko Kuwahata-Fite. 





A visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Drive, Shawnee, Kansas 66203. Family requests Royals and Chiefs attire.

    Klaus was my co-worker. We spent many hours conversing together since our routes were right next to each other. Klaus was someone you cannot forget. He had a strange sense of humor which made the work room floor a little more tolerable. Auf Wiedersehen Freund
