Joshua Daniel Stewart

Joshua Daniel Stewart, 36, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away April 18, 2019. He entered this life on January 24, 1983 to proud parents Dan and Lili Stewart. Joshua fought bipolar disorder throughout his life. Josh was not bipolar – he had an illness called bipolar disorder – Josh himself was a beautiful child of God. Please know that Josh was a kind, wonderful person that loved life, the people around him – and Jesus Christ.

We little knew that morning that

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone;

for part of us went with you,

the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories,

your love is still our guide;

and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.

Joshua was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Kenneth Stewart and Cornelius Muldoon. Patrick Muldoon; uncle, Kate and Mari Muldoon; aunts and Cornelius Muldoon; cousin.

Joshua is survived by his beloved daughter, Kenadee. His parents, Dan and Lili Stewart; sister, Emily (Justin) Dusselier, niece; Clare and nephews Drake and Max. His grandmothers Ruth Stewart and Lillian Muldoon. Joshua will also be forever remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends.

  2. Brad & Patricia Elder Says:

    Dear Joshua ~ We remember when your parents exclaimed the good news they were expecting you! We remember how you turned every day into joyous days of anticipation for your arrival. We remember when they brought you home, how they loved you with every fiber of their being .. and how they beamed when talking about you. We remember when your sister joined the family and how proud YOU were. We remember what an amazing and beautiful heart you had. You were so tender hearted Josh, always caring for Emily, the pets .. and loved being so fully and completely loved by your parents and family. We didn’t see you as much as you became a young man, but your parents never stopped talking about you. They were so proud you were their son! You were loved immensely and forever. Your parents ensured you knew Christ and we pray that in troubled times, you knew Our Father was there for you. I’m so sorry that dang disease stole from you, Josh. You did nothing to deserve it. You were a beautiful & handsome young man — a perfect blend of Stewart and Muldoon. 🙂 You brought a darling daughter into this world who will be as loved and cared for as you were. The ripple effect of grief for you has gone so far, so wide. Please help us Josh. As we pray for your soul, help us learn how to live without you. Help us, help others who have the same disease. Cover your family in prayer, as only their faith will allow them to put one foot in front of the other. To all the Muldoons and Stewarts, we are so so very sorry for your loss and offer our prayers, love and condolences. May the angels greet Joshua in paradise.  Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
