Jeannie Van Hercke

Jeannie Van Hercke, 52, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on November 6th, 2018.  She was born on August 31st, 1966 in Merriam, KS.  Jeannie is preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Marie Van Hercke; mother, Doris Van Hercke; and brother, Michael Van Hercke.  She is survived by her sister, Lisa VanHercke and nephew, Joshua Van Hercke. 

Services

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Amos Family Funeral Home, 10901 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203.  A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM.  Graveside service will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery on Tuesday, November 13th at 2:00 PM. 

Contributions

Memorial donations in Jeannie’s name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 11311 Johnson Dr., Shawnee, KS 66203.

    Dear Lisa and Joshua, my condolences on the passing of sweet Jeannie. I worked close with her grandmother, Anna Marie VanHercke, at Shawnee State Bank many years ago, and loved so much seeing her young grandchildren Michael and Jeannie now and then. Lost touch after Grandma Anna Marie passed away and I retired from the bank, but I have fond memories of a very dear, sweet family. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

    Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Jeannie. She was an amazing friend and I will miss her terribly. She was the best friend ever. We had so many adventures together and I loved hanging out with her and her amazing loving family who treated me like I was one of them. Rest in Peace Jeannie!     I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Jeannie. I have so many memories of the many fun times we had back in high school and those days at the Shawnee Pool.
    I know you will miss her terribly Lisa. I can’t imagine the pain you are feeling right now. I hope you can find peace in the coming days. We are praying for peace and healing of your heart for the days ahead. Please know that we love you and that we are only a phone call away.
