Our deepest and most sincere condolences from Lucy and myself

  2. Mike Keating Says:

I remember when you were born, and how you grew up, and your entry into your career, birth of your son, and things important to you. For years, we spoke up to twice a day on the phone, until you were less able.

We propped each other up, when necessary. For me, it was a big deal. As you were unable to get past our father’s death, I doubt I will fully recover from yours. Marilyn and I are in deep mourning.

May the Blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit come upon your soul, and remain forever. Amen.

    We love you!
    Mike and Mare

    The Detectives Lament

    In Honored Memory

    Detective Sarah E. Keating-Smith ret.

For I have been too long in the company of death, too long I’ve felt it’s icy breath.

For I am the one seeks the truth, the speaker for the dead who gathers proof.

The one who must open Lady Justice’ blinded eyes and search out the guilty’s lies.

The one who they call when life ends, to make sense of the senseless for the family and friends.

I note and measure, seeking truth’s elusive treasure.

I talk and listen wrapped up in a solemn mission.

I stand against evil and all it’s ways

Terrible memories I will carry for the rest of my days

When at the end of my watch, stock I shall take. I will give thanks for the difference I make.

For I was too long in the company of death, too long I felt it’s icy breath.

Yet death holds no fear for me, for I know the One who rules eternity.
For I will make my home where death has died and no more tears shall ever be cried.
