COVID 19 Update

March 17, 2021

Since 1946, Amos Family Funeral Home has maintained the same core values: commitment to our community, maintaining the safety of our staff along with the families we serve, as well as acting ethically and with transparency in all that we do.

On February 25, 2021, Johnson County, KS released the “Johnson County Board Of Public Health Order No. 002-20”.  In this Public Health Order it reads, “Organizations providing funeral and burial services” are exempt from any “Mass Gathering” restrictions placed on many other businesses (50 person max or 50% capacity) as long as social distancing is practiced and masks are worn.

However, we firmly believe that opening funeral/memorial services and visitations to the public with no restrictions on the number in attendance would be at odds with our core values. Guided by those values, we are instead electing to follow what we believe is the best for the community we have served for over 75 years.

As of right now, we feel that limiting funeral/memorial services and visitations held at our funeral home to 90 people in attendance is the most responsible choice for our community, the families we serve, and our staff.

If you are planning to visit our facility and have questions about the many precautions Amos Family Funeral Home has taken to help stop the spread of COVID-19, I would encourage you to please call us at 913-631-5566.
