If you received a letter regarding your NPS prearrangement, read this.

August 17, 2009

If you have a prearrangement with the Amos Family Funeral Home which was funded through National Prearrangement Services (NPS), you may have received a letter and some claim forms in the mail. We are advising our clients to not submit a claim as the claim is only for any unpaid growth from the insurance policy used to fund the funeral plan. Currently, the Kansas Life and Health Guaranty Association is paying the original face amount of the policy as a death benefit. The funeral home provides the services listed in the contract and accepts the death benefit as payment for the contract. Any out of pocket cost to the consumer will only be for items not included in the original contract. These typically include, obituaries, death certificates, clergy honorariums, musicians, grave opening, etc.

If you would like to file a claim and need assistance, we will gladly help you. Or, if you wish to review your contract with us, or have any other questions, you can call us at 913-631-5566 or email us at mail@amosfamily.com.

Now Broadcasting Services Over the Internet.

February 27, 2009

The Amos Family can broadcast funeral and memorial services over the internet. We can record the service and have it ready for viewing on the internet shortly after the conclusion of the services. This will allow family and friends to be a part of the service no matter where they are. Whether they are unable to attend due to health reasons, distance of travel or even if they are serving our country in the military, they do not have to miss the service. A family may wish to have their video tribute available on line as well.

Give us a call at 913-631-5566 or 800-810-9331 or e-mail us at info@amosfamily.com with questions.

Why it’s best to use a family owned funeral home.

February 26, 2009

As a local and family owned funeral home, the Amos Family is here to serve you. We exist to serve the families in our community, not a board of directors in some distant city and their stockholders. Corporate policies do not dictate to us what we can and can not do for a family. These are just a couple of reasons why it is better to use a family owned funeral home in your time of need. As members of this community, we shop here, worship here, educate our children here and are involved in making this a better place to live. We answer directly to you, our neighbors, just as we have done since 1946.

We invite you to come in and speak to us about your needs and wishes and to tour our facilities. We are confident that if you do, you will see the difference.
