G. Parker Amos was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas. He is a fourth generation Amos family member to be a part of the funeral home.
Parker is currently working on both the pre-need and at-need side of the funeral business. He is licensed by the State of Kansas as a registered life insurance sales agent as well as a funeral director. Parker has been working during the summers at the funeral home since the age of 12 before joining the staff full time in the summer of 2011.
He graduated in May of 2011 from Emporia State University with a degree in Communications. While at Emporia State, Parker was a member of the baseball team. Before Emporia State he played at Johnson County Community College where he received his associate’s degree. Parker was a member of the 2008 Junior College World Series team while at JCCC, which was the first in the school’s history. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, fishing, and playing with his dogs.
Parker lives in Shawnee, Kansas, with his wife, Stevie, son, Grady, and two dogs, ZJ and Carrie.
