Megan Amos Starek was born and raised in Shawnee, Kansas. She is a fourth generation funeral director and looks forward to keeping the funeral home family operated with her brother, Parker. Megan worked off and on at the funeral home since 2001 but joined the staff full time in 2010.  She attended Park University and studied Health Care Administration.

Megan is an active member of the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce and the current co-chair for the Kansas City Hospice PARtners for Hope Golf Tournament benefitting the children’s hospice funding. She was also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City for 6 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, all things dance and traveling.

Megan is married to Aaron Starek. They live in western Shawnee with their two boys, Nathan and Porter.
