Mark was born and raised in Yates Center, Kansas. Growing up in a funeral home owned and operated by his family.

 

Mark received his mortuary degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College and Mount Ida University, Boston, Massachusetts. He has worked in funeral homes in both Kansas and Missouri before joining the staff at Amos Family Funeral Home in 2008.

 

Mark enjoys hobbies such as playing golf and working on automobiles as well as volunteering in various local charities or organizations, like the Good Samaritan Project or the Make a Wish Foundation.  He currently the co-chair of the Kansas City Hospice PARtners for Hope Golf Tournament benefitting the children’s hospice funding.

 

Mark is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in both Kansas and Missouri.
