  1. Melanie Swanson Duncan Says:

    Your mom was a great lady. I can’t even count the number of nights I spent at your house, the number of days we went there right after school and ate potato chips and sour cream and onion dip, the number of times I heard her laugh or shared a meal with her. She was a huge part of my growing up years. So thankful for her and Leo treating me just like one of their own. Joyful times for sure.

    Praying for God’s peace, comfort and strength through the coming days and weeks for all of you. Sorry I cannot be there to help you celebrate a life well lived. I am celebrating her through my many memories and thanking God for her.

    Blessings.

  2. Jo Ann Roam-Wright Says:

    So sorry to hear about Aunt Mary Ann. She was such a wonderful person. There are many memories that I will have of her in years to come. As I know you-all will have. My prayers are with you and yours. God bless. Love Jody

  3. Scott & Margaret Walker Says:

    Mary Ann Thurman was one of our treasures at Stratford Place, and was, as our next door neighbor, an especially happy presence in our neighborhood. We remember well the great times we had together at gatherings like last Christmas, at our clubhouse. We treasured the opportunity to sit across the table with her and Leo, and she seemed to enjoy our company as much as we did hers.

    We extend our best wishes to the Thurman family and trust that she will be together one day. We know that her life here on earth is just a “dress rehearsal” for the time we will all spend together with her when we pass into God’s kingdom.

    All our prayers and best wishes at this sad but in some way happy time when we can relive all of the good times with our friends, families, and neighbors.

    Scott & Margaret Walker

  4. Merri & Dick Ehrman Says:

    Dear Leo, Terry, Pam, Kim & Families;

    Although I didn’t see Mary Ann much over the years, whenever I did, she always greeted me with a kind smile, gentle laugh and sincere interest in catching up on what’s been going on in everyone’s lives. I’m sure her last few years have not been easy on anyone, but I believe she is at peace and grateful for all her family has done for her.

    Our sincere sympathies for your loss.

    Love,
    Merri, Dick, Phil & Will Ehrman
